It's all in the rhythm

Jean-Michel told me something very wise this week:
Everything is in the rhythm.
He told me how he sees progress in the gym, despite having only 2 sessions per week.
He does not put pressure on himself, but it is worked into the family schedule and so it becomes a priority.
I wanted to draw a parallel between all the information my customers trusted me with in the course of my kinesiology practice relating to their willingness to cook at home.
They were full of good intentions, planned a super-menu on Sunday, and found themselves the next Saturday not having followed half of that menu.
That is when we realize that we did not eat as well as we had intended and that our food cost more than planned. Has this ever happened to you?
Have you ever wondered why? It's not because you're not organized, proof is you did take the time to plan your menu!
It wasn't for a lack of ideas, again, you planned your menu on Sunday!
But you may have bnot been completely honest with yourself regarding your schedule and your energy level, which may have caused you to lose your rythm.
We also see it with the recipe calendar we want to offer you. If we try to do too much, we overstep our own guidelines. We do not respect that there are 24 hours in a day and that sometimes we also like to sleep. Ha!
All this to tell you to find your rhythm, learn to respect it. Cook with kindness and constance, while chosing a menu that reflects who you are and will bring your family together.
Don't pressure yourself into elaborate meals while trying to juggle homework and your older daughter's gymnastics practice. (Simplicity can also equal quality!)
Thaw a protein, choose your vegetables, choose your cooking method, throw in some Les Savoureux for taste and get yourselves a well deserved glass of wine ;)
Good Friday! 🍷
