A good homemade granola is an all-rounder!
For breakfast, as a snack, or to add a little crunch to a dessert!
Here is my tasty dessert spice granola recipe.
1 cup of almonds
1 cup of walnuts
1 cup of pecans
1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
2/3 cup ground flaxseed
1 cup unsweetened shredded coconut (optional)
2 teaspoons dessert spice mix
1/2 cup almond butter or natural peanut butter
1/3 cup of water
3 tbsp of sugar of your choice
1/2 teaspoon salt
In a food processor (or with a knife), coarsely chop the nuts.
In a bowl, mix all ingredients together and place on a parchment-lined cookie sheet.
Squeeze the mixture well so that you have 3 "big biscuits".
Place in oven and bake for 20-25 minutes at 325.
After this time, turn the "big cookies" over (they may break a little, it doesn't matter!!), and bake another 15-20 minutes.
Let cool and break into pieces with your fingers.
Allow to cool
