Mont-Tremblant, 21 May 2022. This was our first outing of the year with our vr.
We settled in, got out the chairs and wine glasses, FINALLY we had a taste of summer! And it tasted good, oh yesss!
But he started to wind hard at the campsite. In fact, it was even a bit of a windfall. Then we received the famous alert...
It wasn't long... but it was intense. Several trailers went through it. Ouch!
What about us? We were lucky. We were without power and without a network, but we managed.
And the good mood returned. We cooked on the BBQ. And I had an idea: I prepared "tornado potatoes".
As usual, we have prepared a simple and tasty recipe for you.
1/2 cup melted butter
1/4 cup oil
4 tbsp. of our piri-pirisauce
2-3-4 potatoes (depending on how many people are sitting at your table)
Heat oven (or BBQ) to 350
Insert the skewer into the centre of the potato. I advise you to use slightly larger skewers than the small wooden ones so that they do not break inside the potato.
Cutting the potato (on the skewer) into "swirls", this task seems simple, but I have to admit that it takes some practice. So, if like me you don't have too much time, cut them into slices.
Place the potato skewers on a baking sheet and set aside.
In a bowl, combine the melted butter, oil and piri-piri sauce and brush generously over the potatoes.
Baste from time to time throughout the cooking process.
Cook for about 30 minutes or until the potatoes are cooked through.
For me, I used a turnip that I put through a spiralizer. The result is MAGNIFICENT!
I added oil and the Cajun mixture.
