Yum! Yum! What a delight the flavors and aromas of India !!!!
Your taste buds will be really happy to taste this succulent butter chicken!
4 chicken breasts cut into strips
2 cups canned crushed tomatoes (freeze the rest for future use)
3 tbsp. tablespoon Les Savoureux "Indian" mix
1 to 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 pinch of chili flakes (for an extra spicy taste, omit if you don't like spicy dishes)
½ cup of cream
4 tbsp. tablespoon butter
3 tbsp. of the sugar of your choice
Salt and pepper
In a pan, add a little oil and brown the chicken, salt and pepper. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
In the same pan, brown the garlic for a few minutes and add the "Indian" seasoning, the chilli flakes and cook for a few minutes over medium heat. Stir regularly so as not to burn the spices.
Add the crushed tomatoes and sugar, heat for a few minutes.
Add the butter, one spoon at a time, whisking so that the butter integrates well. Add the cream and heat gently for a few minutes.
Add the chicken strips and simmer over low heat until the mixture is heated through and the chicken is cooked through.
I like to serve it with cauliflower rice.
