Want to eat a poutine while choosing quality ingredients?
You can make your own sauce without breaking your head!
1- Melt 4 to 5 tablespoons of fat (butter or bacon fat) in a saucepan
2- Add 2 tablespoons of'BBQ seasoning
3- In the seasoned melted fat, cook over low heat a medium diced onion for about 10 minutes. (It should not turn brown.)
4- Add 2 cups chicken broth
5- Simmer gently for 5 to 10 minutes.
6- Pour the broth into a blender. Mix until you have a smooth consistency.
7- Add 1/4 teaspoon xanthan gum and mix again. The broth will thicken.
You can fry turnips and celeriac cut into sticks, it will be infinitely delicious!
You can also add previously cooked bacon grains when serving the poutine 🤤
PS: The sauce also goes very well with chicken or delicious BBQ wings!
